Too Many Bones
Mary McTameny is the Newburgh City Historian. One day a police officer came into her office and asked "Do you know when they paved the Broadway School's parking lot?"
Mary knew immediately that he was asking because the Broadway School had been built on the site of a 19th century African American burial ground. What she didn't know, was they were still discovering bones there. |
