One Room Schoolhouse  Everybody did their share, whether it was carrying wood, gathering water or cleaning erasers. The Schoolhouse building still stands in Maple Hill, but is now used as the Rosendale Court and Police Headquarters.

It was like Christmas   Today playgrounds are seen in every school yard, but when Maple Hill got it's first playground it was something to dress up for.

Snow Days? Nowadays children wish for school to be cancelled. However, Robert Van Wagenen reminds us of a time when students walked to their one-room schoolhouse rain or shine, even in a winter wonderland.
